Meet Franco Ray.
Skipper, delivery captain, diving instructor and the person behind Ray Yachting Solutions.
Franco’s story is a nomadic one. A long road, a lot of ocean, and in the end Australia became home.
He has sailed across almost all seven seas, logged more than 150,000 nautical miles and worked on over a hundred boats. For ten years he has delivered yachts professionally, and in that time no damage has been reported on a single delivery.
Alongside the sailing, he has spent more than ten years as a diving instructor. Teaching and looking after people are as much a part of the job as navigation.
Ray Yachting Solutions is Franco working directly with owners, with experienced freelance skippers and crew brought in when a job needs them. It is a personal service by design, so the person you talk to is the person who does the work.

How he works.
Calm
When conditions turn, the crew takes its cue from the skipper. Franco stays level, thinks clearly and keeps people informed.
Hands-on
He would rather get in and fix it than describe it. Engines, electrics, rigging, plumbing and the rest of the boat are all fair game.
